It's simple. Just like Jesus, our lives are supposed to be given away not held selfishly close. We are invited by the one true God of the universe to be a part of a greater story... a story that is wonderful and beautiful.
On that note, 'church' is far more than a building, worship songs, sermons, and a one hour time commitment. It's about getting out and meeting the needs of those around us...just like Jesus.
The 'First Sunday' of each month, you can join us in serving around the city of Savannah actually DOING ministy. It's not a day off from 'church', but more like following Jesus. Right now our project is to cook and serve a hot breakfast to those that attend the Baptist Center Church downtown. Every First Sunday we are there providing a hot meal to over 100 homeless and others that make up that congregation.
